US WEEKLY DATA: SIGNIFICANT RISE IN CRUDE STOCKS |

The latest data from the US Department of Energy reveals that the country’s crude oil inventories rose by 4.1 Mbbl last week to reach a total of 341.6 Mbbl. Crude imports during the same period rose by 152 kbpd to average 9.24 Mbpd. Stocks of mogas rose by 700 kbbl to 231.9 Mbbl, whilst distillate inventories fell to 151.8 Mbbl, a 900 kbbl decrease. Imports of the two products fell by 71 kbpd and 90 kbpd to 775 kbpd and 354 kbpd respectively. Refinery inputs remained relatively unchanged at an average of 14.07 Mbpd, 33 kbpd less than the week before. Total refinery utilisation was up 0.7% to 81.9%.
